Free webcast “Tax deduction for construction, Architecture and Engineering Firms

A tax deduction that is often misunderstood or underutilized, especially in the constructions, architecture, and engineering fields is the home office deduction. If you have an office in your home that you use exclusively for business and it is your principal place of business then you qualify for the home office. Another tip is that if you have an 100% business use vehicle that you park in your garage, or use part of your garage to store inventory then you may also be able to deduction that portion of your home as home office as well. When you claim a home office deduction you are able to write off a portion of your mortgage interest or rent, real estate taxes, utilities, insurance, etc.
